"Bird People" explores the existential malaise of two disillusioned protagonists: Gary, an American businessman and Audrey, a French hotel maid. The film takes a leap of faith in its second act that mostly pays off.
Enthralling and odd, "Bird People" rejoices in the freedom that comes from changing perspectives (quite literally in Audrey's case) and taking the time to reacquaint oneself with wonder.
