Review of Better Luck Tomorrow (2003) by May W — 07 Jun 2009

The story line is moderately strong, but the strengh of the movie lies in the characters and the stigma of the over-achieving asian student. It simultaneously supported and contradicted asian stereotypes, which I found very entertaining.

I was inspired by risk taken by Justin Lin and the other people who worked to make this film a reality. Its unfortunate that this movie wasn't more successful. Personally, I loved it. However, I could just be biased.
