Review of Ben-Hur (2016) by Gordon S — 15 Jan 2017
This was a real surprise. My wife and I watched this at home and with all of the popular Roman/Greek era films expected more of the same action and violence. We had watched 300, Sparta, Ulysses, Hercules, Cleopatra, etc.
and many were gory, explicit, and more action and fighting than story line. Ben Hur however, had some violence, but was really more focused on complex relationships, politics and social interaction themes.
We really liked it!
