The actors provide chemistry and power the film, in spite of its cold qualities. This is undoubtedly purposely complex and no doubt some will find more to the film than meets the eye but it requires patience and calm to do so.
This French film is ultimately an incredible effort at emotional density and an interesting but also frustrating one to explore.
