Review of Baxter (1989) by Private U — 18 Nov 2007
A mostly hilarious view of the world through the eyes of a canine is offered in Boivin's film. Baxter the dog comes off as a canine version of the Butcher from Gaspar Noe's films. He sees weakness everywhere and comments on it while searching for the perfect owner.
The film does tend to drag a little in the 2nd act but the 3rd act more than makes up for it.
