Review of Bataan (1943) by Jim M — 26 Nov 2007
World War II, The Philippines: As Japanese forces advance a veteran Sgt volunteers to lead 13 men in a desperate rear guard action to slow the Japanese advance, but is this a battle any of them will walk away from? Made in 1943 at the height of the Second World War Bataan was intended as a morale booster and a salute to the Allied Forces fighting in the Pacific.
Check it out. Interesting side note, the NAACP gave this film several awards for its portrail of a black soldier.
