Review of Basic Instinct (1992) by Baurushan J — 10 Jul 2012
Directed by the genius Paul Verhoeven who gave us Robocop and Total Recall comes a psychotic general-knowledge drama, Basic Instinct. After rock star Johnny is mysteriously murdered with an ice pick, the investigation led by Nick played by Michael Douglas turns onto serial crime novelist Catherine played by Sharon Stone who was a former lover of Johnny who may also be a ruthlessly sneaky murderess.
As more bodies pile up around Catherine, Nick must find out why and he plays a dangerous lust-filled game to become sexually involved with her at the same time reveal her clues about what's her next act and her next target.
Filled with horrifying sex scenes and murders that traces the mind of a real life psycho especially a female. Basic Instinct gets a truely good 10/10.
