Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Elliot G — 04 Dec 2008
My favorite Coen Brothers' film. Turturro is amazing. What's even more amazing is that they can make a film about a guy sitting alone in a room as suspenseful and harrowing as anything from 'Miller's Crossing' or 'No Country'.
Throw in a little bit of early-Hollywood nostalgia, a would-be William Faulkner, and John Goodman as the devil, and it's just a great fucking movie.
