Review of Backcountry (2015) by Rauchet B — 22 Mar 2015
It's a slow burner for sure, but the finale is well worth the wait. The director makes you earn the almost unbearable moment when man meets nature face to face and it doesn't skimp on gore. The acting is good enough to keep you invested in the relationship between the film's two leads while the tension builds almost to the point of anxiety.
If you enjoy thrillers that give you the feeling of impending doom then you won't want to miss this one.
