Review of Avalanche Express (1979) by Matt K — 14 Apr 2010
Poo, never watch it (although you probably couldn't anyway since it's only on VHS). It's really sad that this flacid "thriller" was Robert Shaw's last film. What's even sadder is that he was so sick that his voice was (very poory) dubbed over by impressionist Rich Little.
He sounds awful, it's painfully obvious that it isn't his real voice. There is one semi-cool scene, where an avalance happens, but it makes no sense how the timing and geography works out so the scene basically is stupid.
And the rest of the movie is really boring and it makes no sense. You never understand who the bad guys are and what they're after, or what the good guys what to do. I think they had to protect Robert Shaw, maybe? He mostly just sat in a train.
Never see this.
