Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Marc L — 27 Sep 2007
Autobiographical story set in Occupied France in the 40's at a boarding catholic school and his about the friendship between a boy (Malle's alter-ego) and a jewish youngster put in hiding from the Gestapo.
A great return to form from Malle after his last two american movies (the very disappointing CRACKERS and the average ALAMO BAY) with a hearthrobbing story with a finale that leaves you kind of breathless.
Simply unforgettable...
