Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011) by David Demir T — 09 Aug 2012

This is a story of dire predictions (originally from a book written in the 50's) about an out-of-control government overrun with cronies that manages to destroy the economy. The story begins in 2016. The economy is as bad as you would expect it to be after a second Obama term -- for reasons that fit perfectly with government as we know it today. It doesn't take much imagination at all to see how we get from 2012 to Ayn Rand's 2016.

You don't need to be an ideologue to understand that Rand did a much better job of predicting the future than George Orwell. It's a must see.
