Review of Arranged (2007) by Private U — 08 Jan 2009
I really liked this movie! Both girls are very consciously aware of the demands of the "outside" world on them. They choose to remain within their specific religious communities, even with their moments of doubt (especially the Rochol character).
Going through the doubts and the challenges that they do unites these two women from different worlds more than the differences that their two religions can make. Also, as a kick, I loved Rochol's accent.
It was slight but I thought that it was only a stereotypical accent, not that it was based in truth.
