A modern-day Dr Frankenstein uses his kid-Igor to kidnap a 20-something in order to steal his eye to complete his monster. The experiment goes awry, sending the all the mentioned folk back to 1865 along with Frankenstein's monster which replicated itself by the dozens.
Both sides of the War for Southern Independence attempt to use the sci-fi technology in order to further their respective causes. Too many typical tropes in a very a-typical story.
