Using the limitations of fixed lens, no pans and long frame holds are perfectly suited to inform and reveal the tensions that come to the surface when a family meets at the past holiday home.

The technical themes ally themselves with the repetition of life in the Scilly Isles and my only misgiving is the colour grading which I found too bland, especially since landscape painting is part of the story.

But I enjoyed the film and look forward to further films from this new director.

Shame it is on limited release.
