I still am not sure what the hack happened, last weekend we searched the interwebs for as long as the movie duration and rewatched several key scenes, although did not stumble upon any hypothesis we had not considered. I can only say it's both human and alien, both affectionate and dissociative. There are many layers and I guarantee it's like nothing you have ever seen.

NB also a honourable mention for inspiration by the extremely rare Fregoli syndrome, which does not seem to have more than 50 cases reported in human history.
