Review of An American Crime (2007) by Tom R — 11 Nov 2008
Incredible but scary at the same time. You didn't want to watch but couldn't stop because you hoped and prayed that this girl would receive justice. In the end she does but too late for her to see it.
For that time, it was common for adults to hit their children, but the part that is scary is that even though we live in the 21st century, this type of brutal violence towards children still exists. Powerful movie with amazing acting from both Ellen Page and Catherine Keener.
