Review of Amsterdamned (1988) by Puck V — 25 Aug 2011

The movie opens really scary, the sound of that diver is just an amazing opening.

And then we cut to the dirty taxi driver.

With two amazing oneliners.

Huub Stapel probably gives the best perfomance in his career.

Also serge henri valcke and his stupid henchmen is hilarious.

Also Hidde Maas is in this movie and he is just in to little Dutch films.

Let him play with cees geel and he is able to play a genius criminal duo.

Unfortunately our dutch all leading lady monique vd ven is not really that strong in this movie.

But it continues to be an amazing movie.

Amsterdamned is together with 'de lift' and 'de johnsons' one of the best Dutch thrillers. (with obviously amsterdamned on 1#!).
