Review of Amour Fou (2014) by Mike D'angelo for The Dissolve — 18 Mar 2015
Hausner’s previous feature, Lourdes, was sometimes frustratingly opaque, but at least it had a discernible pulse. Here, she seems more interested in period décor and symmetrical compositions than in Kleist, Vogel, or any of the ideas they espouse and/or embody.
Her impressive formalism is hollow.
