Definitely a stylish film with a patina of noir painted all over it but after numerous tight close ups of eyes, ominous gazes and acutely angled shots with the intent of creating a sense of horror and tension they become muted and it becomes its own parody.
Yes, there is even a story about a girl and her tense relationship with her mother but who cares.
