Review of All Is Bright (2013) by Matthew S — 19 Nov 2013
The only saving grace for this moving was the leading performance of Paul Giamatti. Whilst he is more commonly known for his supporting roles, I was surprised how he managed to pull of quite a difficult role of the down-and-out character that the audience ends up routing for.
Paul Rudd was disappointing. I am usually more fond of him in roles where he plays the more clean cut character. He struggled to pull his role off in this one. The story line and plot fell short. There wasn't sufficient character development and the audience was just thrust into the story-line without getting familiar with each of the characters.
