Review of All Cheerleaders Die (2013) by Jason K — 04 Aug 2014
McKee is a director thats films have a unique feel to them and its a love/hate result. This one has some solid ideas that take awhile to get to, then kinda drift into 90s tv CGI, and result in a rushed 3rd act that kinda throws away all good starts at doing something.
Its better and more creative then most (still he's unable to beat May, which I think is still his best film) but you can see him pushing forward and developing harder ideas and trying new things. I just hope next time he goes practical if hes trying effects or hires a better post house.
