Review of Agora (2009) by Pathrik J — 09 Dec 2010
In my opinion, Agora is the best historical drama that takes place in classical antiquity since Ben-Hur and Spartacus. It's extremely tragic, as it centers on two of the worst moments in western history, but it's also quite moving and well made.
It's very easy to connect the conflict between reason and fundamentalism depicted in this film to similar issues we are faced with in the present.
