Review of Aftermath (1994) by A.d. V — 11 Jun 2008
Technically, it's an impressive piece of work and shows Cerda has some serious skill as a director as does the cinematographer, Christopher Baffa.
The film/short itself involves necrophilia and very little is left to the imagination as a demented coroner "spends time" with a recently deceased woman. It lives up to its vile and disgusting reputation but it's really nothing more than another shocking-for-the-sake-of-being-shocking effort.
Cerda's next film/short Genesis fares MUCH better in my book.
