Actual unbiased review by someone who has seen the film and doesn't give a crap about controversy. Honestly the acting is uneven and the films leaves you wondering if that was really all there was from this overhyped film.

What's good: I usually can't stand Ranbir but in this he was likeable and quiet funny.

What's bad: the story line, the pointless and self aggrandised quest appearances, the unrealistic dialogue and the empty feeling this films leaves you with.

Another thing that annoyed me was the use of old songs from other films being used to invoke nostalgia and emotion which I attributed to lazy writing and an inability of Karen Johar being able to organically provoke emotions in his audience.

In short skip this one if you don't want to waste money on a been there and was bored by that rehash.
