The movie adapts the first game in the franchise very well by showing a focus on the majority of the cases that brought the game's plot together but still evoking the spirit of what made the games so great.

All of the actors portray the characters very well with a few small exceptions. The movie is also not afraid to embrace the silly nature of the game it is based off of from a witness ripping his toupee right off his head to the inclusion of the parrot cross examination.

In the end, fans of the franchise will enjoy this adaptation.
