Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Rob R — 11 Dec 2010
Woah. Seriously, woah. Keanu Reeves, woah. Remind me never to go to Serbia if it's as bad as this allegory suggests it is.
I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this piece of mentalism. My jaw maintained a continual descent throughout, even/especially when it got very very silly. The finale was rather predictable, which was a little disappointing, but the bloodthirsty revenge was viciously delicious. And then the joke at the end ("start with the little one"), genius.
Soundtrack awful, though often appropriate. In case you're wondering, yes, dodgy uncut download.
