Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Don M — 26 Mar 2010
I'm not a huge Keanu Reeves fan, but I loved this movie. Robert Downey, Jr. was awesome in his role, as was Rory Cochrane. The animation over live action method they used to make the movie was very effective and added to the sense that this was a morality tale.
But it never got preachy and examined the characters' lives with great compassion. Great flick! Time to go read some Phillip K. Dick!
