Review of A Safe Place (1971) by Paul D — 06 Feb 2012
Fractured, repetitive and too artsy for its own good. This movie somehow made an extremely simple story incredibly confusing and sort of frustrating. Not that Head and Drive, He Said were anything to write home about, but A Safe Place is probably the least impressive BBS film.
Tuesday Weld and Jack Nicholson are both charismatic and enjoyable, but sadly, Orson Welles is not.
