Review of A Perfect Plan (2012) by Leanne P — 02 Oct 2008
The style is aspirant Pixar/Aardman: if the humans are (as they always seem to be in these things) unconvincing, the flies - with their rounded features and translucent wings - are nicely rendered, and there are some lovely zero-gravity flourishes, something "WALL-E" didn't think to address.
What it lacks is the character and story development that would put it in the Pixar league... but it's genuinely respectful of what the moon landings themselves represented (right through to an end-credit appearance from Aldrin); I suspect young viewers will be too busy enjoying the burping and dung jokes to much care.
