Review of A Monster in Paris (2011) by Jim M — 19 Mar 2012
Great movie that proves you don't have to be Pixar, Dreamworks or Sony Entertainment to make a great CGI animated film.
The film pulls on some tried and true story threads but doesn't follow the usual Hollywood formula either. So while it feels familiar, it is also notably distinct (for example my girls at 5 & 7 are already familiar enough with movie formula that they wanted to know who the main character was... and who the story was about... and it's not really any 1 person's story... it's just a good story).
My daughters and I loved this film and songs (especially "La Seine") will be stuck in your head for days.
