Review of A Fantastic Fear of Everything (2012) by Tony A — 20 Jun 2013
Like a Hammer Horror remix of Withnail & I in its retro seventies aesthetic, it's an odd mash up of macabre pyscho thrillers like 'Fright' and Victorian farce that falls short of being great, but promises great things from first time director Crispian Mills.
It's reminiscent in many ways of Edgar Wright's work, though not quite as effective or as finely tuned. If you see the blu ray, there's an Easter egg video from Pegg if you go up on the top of the bonus menu.
It's not worth buying just for that, but if you do happen across it you might get a giggle out of it.
