This is a brilliant, brilliant, terrible movie. It's everything you loved about the Prince and Me, the Princess Diaries, and basically every girl-meets-boy movie.

It's so cliched, has terrible dialogue, the plot is partially recycled from every teen romcom to ever exist, and it steams on at about a million miles an hour...but I loved every second of it.

It has everything: mistaken identity, an amateur reporter being sent to a vaguely European sounding country, a precocious young disabled child, a grumpy queen who sounds stern but really wants to join in. I literally could not have asked for more. New Christmas tradition!
