Review of 61* (2001) by Carolyn E — 25 Sep 2007
A very touching and interesting look into the lives of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris during their attempt at breaking Babe Ruth's home run record. Thomas Jane and Barry Pepper are superb and make their characters very human, making it easy for the viewer to fall in love with them and they place off each other perfectly, showing how each man was different but how in the end they became friends fighting for the same thing.
An amazing film that always brings tears to my eyes.
