After waiting months for this movie to come to Michigan, I finally got the chance to see it. Well worth the 2 hour drive to the only theater in Michigan with enough sense to play it. If you are looking for an upbeat, fun movie about overcoming the odds and not judging a book by its cover, then this is the movie for you.
Although it does start a little slowly, it is very easy to lose yourself in the story. I enjoyed every minute of it. Christian Kane does a wonderful job is absolutely believable as Mark Allen (honestly, is there any part that man does not do well?).
The rest of the cast did a great job but Calvin Borel absolutely steals the show in every scene he is in. This is a wonderful feel-good movie that deserves to be shown in more theaters.
