Review of 50 to 1 (2014) by Adrian B — 22 May 2015
Alright, one has to concede that this film has some B-movie elements. It's not an all-star cast (William Devane is the biggest name), and some of the humor and bar scenes are second rate at best, but the value of the movie still shines through the Cinderella story and the suspense that gets us to the final frames.
The underdog element is placed judiciously, and the haughty complacency of the competition make the viewing experience a must see reckoning despite the movie's obvious flaws.
