Bloody brilliant revenge tale from the makers of the equally brilliant Sexy Beast. Cuckold Ray Winstone turns to his gangster buddies (Ian McShane, John Hurt, Tom Wilkinson, and Stephen Dillane) to help him squeeze (and beat) the life outta the waiter who had his wife.
But the film is less about the seemingly inevitable homicide and more about the devastation wrought on Winstone's empty husband. And it's damn funny too. John Hurt's Old Man Peanut is fiendishly foul and Ian McShane's homosexual hood is devilishly delightful.
Not a fan of the blue language, turn away now. VF.
