Review of 20 30 40 (2004) by Private U — 11 Sep 2008
Sylvia Changs musings over different stages in life is a well-written and well-played drama reminiscent of the early works of Ang Lee. The three separate narratives are united by a common theme: the universal fear of loneliness and how to overcome it.
The episodical approach is not seldom a problematic one, but Sylvia Chang manages to make the different parts connect well. Hilarious and touching.
