Review of X+Y (2014) by Mind The Book O — 15 Mar 2015
BEAUTIFUL, bokeh-packed British drama set in the Yorkshire Dales, Cambridge and Taiwan (!). It promotes education, it promotes tolerance and it's challenging some cultural norms and traditions.
Apart from ASD other themes and topics include bereavement, self-harm, bullying, living with chronical illness, addiction, midlife crisis, career stagnation, Chinese children under pressure... but omnia vincit amor!
Loved the soundtrack, too.
Something tells me this film risks being a bit forgotten, like Pride last year - another British gem. Don't miss!
