Review of Wilde (1997) by John V — 10 Jun 2007
Along with EDWARD II, this 90s film captured the minds of the Queer movement devotees. Most folks, today, will be surprised to learn how famous Oscar Wilde was in America....in the Wild West, with miners, even (the film's opening).
..and as Daniel Z mentions, with Jude Law as one of his boytoys, Stephen Fry's Wilde has the most infamous bad-boy in gay history, just the type one needs to destroy life/career.
