Review of Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) by Catherine M — 06 Sep 2008
The pretext is that director/star Morgan Spurlock heads to the middle east in search of Osama bin Laden. The reality is that he meets and talks to a number regular people in various middle Eastern countries and demonstrates that the average Muslim is not a member of Al Quaeda and that most of them like Americans but do not like their foreign policy. Most important, most of them, like most of us in the west, just want to live their lives and give their kids a stable and healthy future. Nto too much to ask!
As with so many of this type of documentary, the director chooses what he uses to make his point and none of his revelations should come as a great surprise to anyone. The film is quite entertaining and is recommended viewing for anyone who thinks "the other side" is composed of religious zealots who hate the west's" liberty.".
