Review of Well Done Abba (2010) by Ajayesh S — 06 Apr 2010
A gem of a movie. Boman plays a driver from a village near Hyderabad. He decides to build a borewell to increase his daughter's marital prospects as well as his soceital stature. But his plans go awry when he encounters the corrupt buruecrats who demand their pound of flesh and then some.
The tale is a hilarious spoof of the political and buruecratic setup which exists. The tale is told in the form of a rustic narrative thread with Minissha Lamba ably supporting Boman. There is also a twist in the tale with a double role, which was totally unnecessary.
But the accents, the simple story and the tale of greed turning on its head leaves you smiling at the end.
