Review of Watchmen (2001) by Nelson P — 18 Jul 2014
A rare film that perfectly captures the comic book in nearly every single detail from where it was adapted. Synder takes audiences on a visual thrill ride that questions what it means to be a superhero in times of war and peace.
Based on the best selling and best reviewed graphic novel of all time, Watchmen is a monumental achievement that properly manages to capture the spirit of its source material. Although it is finally understood what Alan Moore has said about Watchmen being made solely for the comic book medium, you can't help but marvel at the films wonder.
