Top-notch cast can't raise this quasi-comedy above its ho-hum premise â?? troubled young man believes he decides who goes to heaven or hell. Plot build-up weak with little emotional payoff. William H.
Macy, however, is terrific as irreverent shrink who tries to figure out Walter's quirks.
