Review of Viva Knievel! (1977) by Shawn W — 19 Jul 2012
Heinous scheme to smuggle cocaine in Evel's hauler after another record breaking jump in Mexico. Loaded with intriguing subplots such as Evel's alcoholic mechanic and his estranged son and an initially skeptical feminist photographer soon melted by Evel's charm.
Features several stars on a downward slope of their career and a brilliant speech from Evel warning the kids about the dangers of narcotics. Film should give a newfound respect for the daredevil not only as a performer but as a person as well.
