Review of Veronika Decides to Die (2005) by Jurate P — 01 May 2010
This is an unconventional movie, and felt a little tedious at times. But the concept is interesting. Veronica wakes up from an unsuccessful suicide attempt, to be told that she has damaged her heart and may only have days to live.
In a mental asylum, with nothing to lose, she finds a new freedom that she never allowed herself to experience. I expect that the Paul Coelho book would have been significantly better than the movie.
