Review of Venus (2006) by Casey T — 13 Oct 2007
I am giving this movie more credit than it deserves b/c Peter O'Toole is one of my pet peeve actors and he reminds me of my grandfather, and I kept thinking about this emotional connection and could not help but bawl through the second half of the entire film.
It is a great May-December romance, much better than Lost in Translation or Lolita. O'Toole is such a legend and have so much in him. It doesn't help that my grandfather is so much like him when he lived, and so the tears came as they may.
The next time I see this will be also by myself and with two full boxes of Kleenex (again).
