Review of Vampirella (1996) by Steve D — 07 Oct 2012
So cheesy and hilarious.
An out-of-this-world comic book movie with bad acting, cheap special effects, and funny moments.
'Vampirella' makes the jump from comic book to movie and the result is about average, it's not a great transition.
Still, Soto looks fine in that outer space get-up and even Vlad the villain looks like he just found his costume out of the conveinance store.
It puts a whole new, comedic yet intergalactic spin on the vampire lore and I guess we all have to be open to that.
I felt very cheated again by the ending, they seriously need to tie up some loose ends majorly.
I did have fun watching this though, just because of the context it's made up of.
Vampires from space, yeah you heard right.
