Review of Untold Scandal (2003) by Alyssa N — 12 Jul 2008
This is the Korean version of Dangerous Liaisons, which was certainly an interesting idea. Fans of the story might enjoy another retelling, complete with beautiful period sets and costumes, and at least the twisted plot held my interest for the full two hours, but only barely.
It still feels long and drawn-out, and there is insufficient character development to hold this heavily character-based drama together. The talented actors certainly did their best with what they had, but that doesn't make this story believable or effective enough to become more than relatively light fare.
