This documentary of the Norwegian Black Metal scene does a great job with presenting the atmosphere of the scene (and by extension, Norway) but never gives the viewer a story to connect it all to. The filmmakers seem to be too taken with their subjects and allow them to fill too much of the screen time without filling in any real details.

Nice use of news footage from the 1990s to provide a back drop to the rash of church burnings that brought this relatively small music scene to the worlds attention but for a subject that is so interesting, the film fails to cover the whole story.
